Our Story
What started as two friends looking for the best paddle spots in Austin has become a community on the water.
In 2023, Ricky and Seth picked up paddle boards on a whim. A few sunset sessions on Lady Bird Lake later, they were hooked. They started texting friends to tag along, posting launch‑day photos on Instagram, and before they knew it — people were asking when the next ride was.
BrosAfloat isn't a brand or a business — it's a crew. We share what we know, paddle at a chill pace, and welcome anyone who wants to get on the water.
The Crew
Co-Founder
The route planner. Ricky's the one scouting new launch spots, checking wind reports, and making sure everyone knows where to park. If there's a hidden inlet, he's already found it.
Co-Founder
The community builder. Seth handles the Instagram, organizes the meetups, and makes sure new paddlers feel welcome. Also the unofficial photographer.
What We're About
No experience needed. Bring your own board (or borrow one) and just show up. We paddle at a pace everyone can enjoy.
Austin's lakes and rivers are incredible. We want to share them with as many people as possible — and take care of them while we're at it.
No competition, no pressure. Just good weather, good company, and good vibes on the water.
